“Today tried to make a drawing using the method I always tell my students but never use—cut a rectangle proportional to the canvas size to locate the composition + of course it still didn’t work. My struggles with adjusting my perception to the rectangle of the canvas are either based on some fundamental ignorance of a simple law or on the peculiarities of my hybrid point of view. I am fairly sure it is the latter.”
